Altia is a leading wine and spirits company offering quality brands in the Nordic and Baltic countries. Altia produces, markets, sells, imports and exports alcoholic beverages in its market area.
Altia’s own brands include Blossa, Chill Out, Explorer, Grönstedts, Jaloviina, Koskenkorva, O.P. Anderson, Renault, Larsen, Xanté and Skåne Akvavit.
In 2011 Altia approached us with the need for rethinking its whole approach to innovation and concept creation across the entire company, including all its brands and its markets.
Wonder designed a complete new approach and methodology that would change the way Altia did innovation until this day. We helped Altia shift their approach from a product- and production driven to being consumer value driven.
Our strategists and designers have created innovation programs for all product categories, including white spirits, brown spirits and wines. The work has involved new methodologies, facilitation and speeches, and lots of strategic and creative design work.
To this date we have planned, facilitated and designed over 150 new concepts, including insights, strategy, concept idea, story, moodboards, prototype, naming, final designs and consumer launch materials.
Altia has not only increased its sell-in numbers significantly (up to sixfold at best), it has also gone through a remarkable improvement in innovation capabilities and culture.
Some of the recent successes of the innovation programs and the design work of Wonder include new brands and products such as Valhalla, The Nordic Spirits Lab, as well as new launches under existing brands such as Koskenkorva, Jaloviina, O.P Anderson and many more.
At present their are tens of products out in various of the Nordic and Baltic markets designed by Wonder. Due to the alcohol laws and the secretive nature of this assignment, we can only show a small fraction. Some of these new brands are products are presented as separate cases on our site.
